Question:

Why do people walk into the path of oncoming vehicles on the roadway?

People seem to wait until a bus/coach or heavey trade vehicle is upon them before they try to cross the road. Pedestrians seem to walk down the footpath faster than crossing the roadway. The rationale seems to be the driver will end up in prison if they run the pedestrian over. Do people actually think that a wheel-chair or coma or death is a weekend of fun and adventure, then you go back to work on Monday???

  1. Kenny said it best. People are looking for a way to get rich quick and on top of that they just have no idea that cars are big, deadly machines.  It has come to the point that we should really rethink the right of way situation because in the U.S. we have more cars that licensed drivers so it only seems intelligent to give cars the right of way rather than the 200 pound human.

  2. Because they wants to end their life, but wants to put other people up to the Dirty Work....

  3. rofl

watch out for the car! no wait jump in frount of it!

  4. the reason is they have too much faith in the lines that make up a cross walk and they believe the more wheels the easier it is for the thing to stop witch is so far from the truth

  5. People get all caught up into everything else going on that alot of the times they simply dont pay attention!

  6. Because they are stupid.  LOL

No really, I believe that with the age of lawsuits that we live in most of them think if you hit them they will sue you and they will be rich..  I am a truckdriver and I see some stupid **** everyday I am on the road.

  7. Try stomping on the gas, watch 'em scatter!

  8. That's still a little awkward for me too, but on thing I know is treking across traffic is just risking your life.

  9. Maybe they want to claim insurance.
