Why do people want to fix their Father?

I don't get it! The only person they can fix is themselves.

They should be grateful they have a Father. I wish I had my Father around but I don't because he died. I wish I could hug him, talk to him,go places. I was special to him!

Even though he is gone I still wouldn't want to fix him! But I can fix me!

  1. I love my dad, he is one of my best friends and I love spending time with him. He gives me great advice when I need it and listens to everything I say. He never judges me, and tells me that no matter what I do/where I end up he will be happy as long as I am. So I would never want to "fix" him. I'm not as close to my mum though, but that is because we are so similar that we clash. But I still love her. And I moved out two years ago! So not everyone is like that :o).

  2. My daddy died too. When I was really young. But I don't get what you mean by "fix". Are you talking about improving him?? That's retarded. Unless their father is like some kind of an abusive b******e.

  3. I understand your feelings.  I get really mad when people complain about their mothers.  Mine passed away several years ago and I miss her so much.

I think that if these people who want to change them understood what it is like to lose a parent and not have them around to talk to that they wouldn't complain any longer.

I am sorry for your loss.  Time will help but I do think of my mother every day and wish she was here with me.

  4. I thought you meant having him neutered. I wanted my father neutered so that no more spawns of evil could be born. Thank God I'm adopted.
