  1. No, it's not OK. Especially when they are actually sitting in the car. Why do they feel they can just be idiots and make everyone else squeeze around

  2. Most people seem to think that you can park on the turf at Wembly during the FA cup final as long as you have your f*ck*ng hazzard lights on.

  3. It does make it ok.

    Its about being courteous.

If they were'nt on, people (possibly you would get upset that someone had parked in a dangerous position without any warning lights on).

At least when they are on (if you have enough sense and are really watching the road you can see from 50-100 -200 metres that theres a hazard ahead and start planning for it before you get there. Unlike many drivers who are speeding in congested roads just to do something radical to get around them putting everyone at risk.

They could also be working, stopping in a far away area that they are not used to and looking up directions or doing some quick work (usually directions) in a house or business.

Or they could be broken down, without them on people may think they are moving and slam into the rear of them ( dont laugh! it happens!)

Take it easy people and enjoy your driving experience, you spend so much time on the roads, learn to enjoy it not stress. Watch out for the signs and read the road and driving will become heaps easier and you will become a smart driver.

I am a truck driver at the moment and do over 1000km per week all in the city areas and i see it all everyday. Hazards are essential to let people know what you are doing, especially reversing, if i didnt have them on someone could kill themselves into the back of my truck, and believe me they'de try if i didnt have my hazards on and was'nt watching for them too.

but let me say that common sense in some people is hard to find and parking in dangerous spots should always be avoided, for their own safety and others too. And yeah it shouldnt be abused either just to do something selfish like buy some take away. Yeah i think ive mis read this question, oh well hopefully theres something in there that doesnt make sense, i mean does make sense.

Just be careful people and enjoy your ride, you spent enough for it. :)

  4. I get really annoyed by vans that park right on the pavement, so the hapless pedestrian has to dodge out on to the busy road.

  5. It's to draw attention to themselves so you can identify the people you're meant to laugh at

Or maybe they thought that button was for their parking sensors...

  6. Ah, it's the common misconception that stopping in a stupid place is ok as long as you have flashing orange lights on all four corners of your car advertising to everyone trying to pass you that the occupant of this car is a tosspot.

  7. They believe that it makes their car "invisible" and doesn't actually s***w up everyone elses day.

    Usually applies to 4x4 drivers.

Of course there are the extreme cases who are saying "look at my shiny expensive car (better than yours)  - I can't imagine that anything you are doing is as important as MY vital task"

  8. god someone else has noticed

  9. Didn't you know? Yellow lines are cancelled out by hazard lights.

  10. Didn't you know? They are not called hazard lights!

They are called 'park anywhere you like, for as long as you like'!

Just park where you like and put them on.....it's what they are for......isn't it?

  11. What makes me laugh, is that people do this outside chip shops!  How convenient 'breaking down' there!

  12. It's almost an admission of guilt.

  13. Because they are in a hurry and want to let you know that you should just go around them (as opposed to sitting there wondering why this car that is halfway in the road isn't moving). I have to do it all the time when I deliver pizza.

  14. They are the same yaha's that DRIVE with them on, they have NO idea what the laws are !

  15. annoying isnt it although i have to admit doing it once b4 to run into bank cops arrived behing me b4 i got out and started beeping me learnt my lesson lol

  16. Its not big and its not clever...good point to raise!
