I buy like ten tickets at a time and win like 4 dollars, my step dad just bought four and won 20 dollars. I have to buy like 20 or 30 dollars of tickets just to win 10 or 15 dollars.

  1. Hi,

I'm a store owner who sells tens of thousands of dollars of lottery on a monthly basis...

...Actually, you have BETTER chance winning money if you play MORE money...but at the same time, you have better chance losing more money as well...

The lotto is NOT about "luck" or superstition...and all this stuff that most people think...

...It has to do with the ODDS of winning...like any other gambling game...it's all about the ODDS...

For example, some people think there are "lucky stores" who have won a lot of BIG jackpots...the REASON that store seems "luckier" is that after they get 1 winner, more & more people go into that store to play...

...More & more people playing leads to more & more people likely to win in that store COMPARED to other stores...

It's about ODDS...not some "lucky store"...

...Of course, there will be instances where other people seem "luckier"...but in the LONG RUN, the odds will work for you...

If you are more interested in playing the lotto successfully, I suggest you to study up on some lotto systems out there or you can check out my lotto system as well...

    Hope that helps...

    BJ

  2. all in the odds

  3. The short answer:  your step dad just got lucky (and/or you got unlucky).

In the long run, if you repeated your "I buy 10 tickets, step dad buys 4" experiment lots of times, the amount of money you win should get closer to 2.5 times the amount of money that your step dad wins.  And, the odds of winning are such that both of you should lose money overall. Of course, it's possible that one (or both) of you will get really lucky or unlucky and win or lose much more than expected, or even come out ahead.  That's why they call it gambling.
