Why do people who talk at the movies complain when you throw popcorn at them?

I guess the same reason people will follow you home and beat that **** if you cut them off, or text when you should have made the light.  It doesn't please them.

A polite excuse me, I can hardly hear the movie, which is impossible to do as loud as they are.

  Also it's cowardly, does the thrower own up to it?  Not likely. So basically you're saying someone talks,  and it unnerves others so much they feel justified in throwing popcorn, candy or what ever at people, and when they look back no one has the guts to say I did it, or the intelligence to go to a movie usher and complain, so they can come over with their flashlight and address it .

So glad I stopped going to the movie years ago.

If they're chatting behind you, just stand up until they stop. They're obviously not there to watch the movie & you are!

Talking in a movie is a social gaffe.  Throwing things at people is an assault and therefore a criminal offence!!!

I know whose behaviour is worse in my book!!!!

it is utter rudeness to talk thru a movie as it is so expensive and we all want to listen....Maybe they should have ear phones or head sets so everyone can hear everything.  I am with you.  If ya wanna talk then go hire a dvd and stay at home.

**I've never done it but then again I haven't had people talking during movies either.  They probably think that YOU'RE rude for throwing it, totally forgetting what they'd done to cause it in the first place.

If you've asked them to be quiet and they don't, then I think it's fair for you to be able to throw popcorn at them!**

i think its because people get so into the movie that there watching so when a character does something stupid they get mad and throw stuff!! :]
