I am a type two diabetic and when My glucose gets low, I yawn, I will yawn every few seconds sometimes until I eat something that brings me glucose levels back to normal,if I drink orange juice, within a minute my yawning stops. So for all you physicians out there, check that out.

  1. ive always been told that yawning is lack of oxygen to the brain........

  2. I agree with crazy, I've always thought it was lack of oxygen to the brain. So when you yawn it is your body forcing you to suck in more oxygen, fixing the problem. But your glucose level could effect your body's ability to oxygenate blood, or your body's ability to send that blood to your brain, I am not completely sure though. Hope that helps, it is a very interesting question :)
