Why do people yawn?

    Seriously, I remember reading two different things - one was that when you're tired, you're not breathing properly and your oxygen level is low so the yawn makes you breathe in a glut of oxygen...I also heard that it is to stretch your neck muscles, lol! Try Wikipedia!

  3. Simple explanation(without the doctor speak) = When you yawn it gives your body an extra burst of oxygen that perks you up and makes you more alert.

    When someone you are talking to starts yawning consider a compliment because they want to pay attention to what you have to say.
