Why do peple not idolize plus size women?

the looks of a person shouldnt be the reason people idolize them. it should be for what they do. pepla now a days are trying to be like the skinny girls on tv that everyone wants to be like. im not sayin become plus size im sayin i think people should be happy with who they are and not idolize people for looks but for what they do

There are a lot of plus size women who are very beautiful out there. I don't understand why anyone would idolize someone because of their size in the first place, but that is what the media does sometimes when they try to place standards. I'm sorry to say, but some of them skinny /\ss chicks on t.v are not always that realistic. I now notice that women have more meat and are more healthy looking than what t.v. looks like. But yea,  I agree with you, I think people should appreciate what a person has to offer and what they can do before judging them and basing them on an outward appearance, because when you do, you lose out on more than you expect.

I don't idolize anybody. I don't know anybody who idolizes skinny girls on TV. But I also don't understand why people should idolize plus size women? You don't necessarily have to be happy with who you are, I have a friend and she was plus size and she wasn't happy with herself, so she lost some weight and now she's happier and also healthier. I don't think people try to be skinny like girls on TV, it's a natural desire to be healthier, in a better shape, so you can afford to wear all kinds of clothes.

Because somebody at some time set a so-called standard for what "beauty" means. It goes beyond size to skin color, hair texture, hair color, facial features and physical assets. That standard was set by the people in charge. It doesn't mean that those who don't fit that standard are not beautiful. It's just that most of society doesn't see it.

It's a really sad problem and can possibly lead to low self esteem among those who do not fit the mold that the mainstream set.

Because we should we? Let's just face it, plus sized women aren't as attractive as slim women. Of couse I don't like stick figures, but I don't like overweight women.

Plus size women are beautiful they are but on the other hand they shouldnt be idolised just like the really skinny women shouldnt be either. Women should be comfortable in themselves with the way they are not how the media wants them to be
