  1. If they'll open a Corruption competition

The best in the world. definitely a Gold medal

nobody beats the training we been through.

  2. our athletes are trying their very --best i believe.

there's nothing to be ashamed as long as they play fair.

maybe this is not our time to shine --yet.

anyway, there's always next time. =)

  3. look at how stiff the competition is. most of the athletes from other countries have been trained well, they have the means and equipments to use.

for filipinos, not even a good swimming people could be provided by the government.

  4. The games aren't over yet. Don't lose hope. And although the government, in my belief is partly to be blamed, should take this as a lesson that they should put more funding on matters that promote our citizens & us to the world.

  5. Because our athletes cannot compare with the abilities, stamina, physique and techniques of the other competitors.  They are only good at competing with their own kind.  And that's a sad fact.  You can't blame the government for the way our athletes are showing in the competition.  I believe our government is doing everything to encourage our players to perform beyond what they are capable of.  They have enough support, monetary or otherwise.  It's just that our players have only this much in terms of performance.  Anyway, some of our athletes are improving with some surpassing their own records and establishing  new ones.  It's a good enough practice, to be up and against bigger and more adept players from other countries.

  6. B'cos they all are very busy in making love.

  7. Maybe they will win the taekwondo. The government has bigger problems anyway than the Olympics.

  8. i think the problem is, they didn't have enough time to train because they do not get enough fund support. and even if they do get the support, it only comes in when the olympics, or whatever competition they are preparing for, is nearing.

it is synonymous to cramming for school exams, which is not good.

after the beijing olympics, our athletes should start training for the next olympiad.

  9. i agree with you..

shame on them, government should support our athletes.. gawd, i heard we only got silver medals because of math?

  10. i agree with you...they lack training that's why they aren't on their best still..

  11. Sports development is a notable program that every government should provide funding for.  Unfortunately, we do have very limited funds and so the government needs to prioritize its expenditures.  In so doing, sports is at the bottom rung of the ladder.  Sure it would be nice if we could win that elusive Olympic gold but until such time, there's nothing to be ashamed of.  For now what is more important is we try our best.

  12. sucks.
