In order to cancel my xbox live subscription, I was told to call (800) 4MY-XBOX. Why the h**l can't they just tell me to call (800)-469-9269? And why in the world would companies put letters in their phone numbers? Wouldn't that just make it harder for their consumers to contact them?

  1. Because the number (800) 4My XBOX is easier to remember then (800) 469 9269.

  2. Well it's easier to remember. Sometimes the company has a 7 digit name. So it's best for the company to say their # is 1-800 (company name) Yes, it annoying to look for the letters, but this way you are more than likely to remember the # because you know the company's name!

  3. No, it makes it easier to remember (one word is easier to remember for humans than a string of numbers), as well as increases X-Box brand recognition.

  4. It does make it difficult, but it also makes the number much easier to remmeber....

Think about it, is it easier to remmeber numbers or a sentence??

  5. ok some number have word so they don't have to put the

whole number and so the people can find the number that

is the words that they put.
