Why do pictures make me look so much different than mirrors?

I look in the mirror and usually think I look fine. I also think I look fine when I see myself on camera. However, I see myself in pictures and think I look really fat and gross like a completely different person. Does that happen to anyone else and why might that be happening?

Same with me,

I look pretty when I pose or look at myself in the mirror, but when I do it in front of a camera, it looks horrid! LOL

I think it's because of the lighting. Like if you're in front of a mirror the light is kind of golden yellowish and makes you look really good, and then right before you take the pic, but when the flash goes off it's like a really white light and makes you look a lot different. Try going in a room where it's bright enough to take a pic w/o the flash and it'll usually turn out fine.

Yeah, happens to me all the time. My nose looks huge in pictures but it't not really. I'm just not all that photogenic.
