We may say that to attract animals to disperse the seeds. But plants were present long before the existence of animals. And there are many fruits that do not have seeds (bananas). So why do banana plants kept producing bananas when it does not really help it in an evolutionary sense??

  4. dude, banana fruit has seeds if you look real carefully at the cross-section you see tiny little brown or black dots surrounding the center, in fact all fruits have seeds. that is except for those genetically modified which makes them seedless.
