Wrestlemania is the biggest PPV on the calender, so they generally only put matches that will get people buying the PPV. Unfortunately the "hot" diva's are what people want to see, as opposed to Diva's that can wrestle. Maria is proof of that.

Every year, WWE tries to hype up Playboy Bunny matches at Wrestlemania because it is the Grand Daddy Of Them All and WWE tries to build up more men based audiences from Playboy by having women who pose for it actually wrestle. It gives them more exposure to another audience out there.

I hate it though, because it always lasts for only 5 minutes in every match. Remember Hemme vs Stratus? Or when James and Stratus had a great match that was overshadowed by Candice vs Torrie? Or Ashley getting destroyed by Melina in only 3 minutes? And finally Maria had her hype but she lost the match quickly for no reason. WWE will never treat their women right.
