Why do poeple randomly choose others as their contacts?

Question

every week or so I get an e-mail someone has added me to their contacts, I have no idea who they are and it's not like my answers are that good, I'm usually in the baby section where I honestly say I do or don't like the name, it's not like I always get thumbs up, and my questions are mainly about hairstyles, nothing interesting.

Why do people add others just like that?

I'm assuming they like my answers.  Every once in a while I'll get a notice that one of them has asked a question.  I've added someone based on an answer or a sense of humor.  I guess it just depends on what you read into the answer.

The baby name section is a nice place to visit.

I feel like  a loser. I haven't gotten a contact request yet.

Of course, i hate everyone, so its a good thing. Don't add me as your contact, fu**ers!

Well maybe they like your answers.. they must have read your answers somewhere and added you and you too have a right to add anyone you want but you equally have a right if someone adds you.. you can remove them as a contact if you don't want contacts. I am open to all new contacts..  I get people who add me and I let them.. after a while some remove me again.. I don't mind.. it's a free choice..  if it annoys you delete them.. if you want contacts.. add some.. you are entitled to either.  anyone can add whomever they like and the other can delete them again or accept them.. it's your choice...

They might like your photo, or if you put any pictures on.

I have a friend with a picture of Barbie and a nickname "GI-Joe beats Ken" and people are always adding her as contact randomly,
