Why do pop-tarts come in a non microwavable wrapper if they are microwaveable?

the wrapper is to keep them fresh..you dont need a wrapper for a poptart anyways...

possibly because they are way much better in a toaster.

but either way, you're right. the wrapper shouldn't be. it must be for freshness.

if you think about it, have you ever seen a food that was pre packaged, that wasn't in a plastic based bag/container?

Maybe you should email them and tell them. They might try it out. But this prob for freshness purposes.

I don't know, but if you want to microwave them, just take the PopTarts out of the wrapper and put them on a plate.
