Why do ppl continue to buy kodaks and samsungs?

it really just baffles me that ppl still continue to buy these products.....is it bc of the whole "easy share" feature? they are terrible products....why? geez......

For the point and shoot masses, Kodak is actually a decent camera.  Most of them have quite a few features for the money.  Kodak is a brand that for many years was synonymous with camera.   My mentor occasionally calls his P&S camera his "Kodak".  (It is actually a Canon.)  I have several customers who use them, they are fine for snap-shooters.

I thought Kodak was a good make, I was gonna get it until I read a few threads on here. I'm getting a Canon instead now I think.

Well it's the same reason people buy Pontiac, Chevrolet, etc..

Price, marketing, uninformed, inquisitive, varying tastes, crave uniqueness, etc.. are all factors why people don't all just buy a Canon camera.
