Why do ppl say the giants owned the patriots?

why they lost by 3 points did the cowboys own the bills (after that miracle comeback) did the giants own the packers after the nfc championship game did the pats own the ravens last year and if so shouldent the patriots gloat cuz they (owned) 18 straight ppl cuz they never won by less than 3 points did the pats own the colts and the eagles

The Giants rightfully owned the Patriots becase their defense humiliated the "Greatest offense of all-time." That o-line with 3 Pro Bowlers couldn't handle Strahan, Umenyiora, Tuck, Fred Robbins, and Barry Cofield for even 3 second on each play! People though they'd score 30 or 40 on the Giants! What an overrated bunch of over-aged players the 2007 Pats were.

As a Patriots Fan i will say that the Giants OWNED the Patriots

when you average 30 Points a game and a team just absolutly shuts you down holding them to just 2 scores ....That my friend is being OWNED

I don't think every fan is saying that the Giants "owned" the Patriots, but they did limit the best offense in NFL history to just 14 points, that is a great accomplishment.

All we football fans heard all season long was how amazing the Patriots offensive line was, and how no team could touch Brady. Well guess what? The Giants were in Brady's face all game long. They have five sacks, and came close to many more. The "great" line of the Patriots also got spooked into several false start penalties because of the speed of the Giants D-line.

Yeah, it was only a 3-point win, but any impartial fan knows the Giants beat up on the Patriots.
