Why do ppl try to control your emotions and?

when they see it's not working, how do they feel I had this girl at my job tell me things other ppl was saying about me, I really don't care, cause I'm going to do me anyway but she repeated it like three more times as if I didn't get it the first couple of times. I told her I don't care and she shouldn't why care what the next person think, I dont worry about what they doing so I just laugh at her (alot). which she really doesn't like. Why do she try to make it her business to tell me these things.

Gossip and drama.  She's not trying to control your emotions, she is trying to gossip and create drama.  She is probably a lil immature and has low self esteem.
