Why do protestants say catholics are not christians? when we were the first church before lutheranism ?

pentecostes or prebysterians or reborn etc.. most of those churches deny their origin in the protestant reform by martin luther.. well if the catholic church is not christian.. how come they put in order the books of Nt? or the belief of the holy trinity in the creed of Nicea? and different doctrines were taken by the first reformists now protestants are divided in many setcs.

i am a catholic and ive never heard of this one before.

i do believe, for some reason, that since christians think that we "worship" mary and the saints, they then do not recognize us as christians. and catholiscm is the largest protestant church.

ive heard of things like catholics say theyre not christians but everyone who believes in jesus christ and the Lord, are basically christians.

I am not Protestant, but I need to clarify this:

The Catholic church was not the first Christian church.The Catholic church was adopted by Constantine 300 years later.If you actually read Acts and the rest of the NT, you would see that the early Christians:

~covered their heads according to 1 Corinthians 11

~refrained from swearing oaths according to Matthew 5:32-34

~were pacifists according to Matthew 5:39 & Luke 6:29

~dressed plain according to 1 Timothy 2:9

~let God chose ordinary men as ministers according to Acts 1:23-26

~shared everything according to Acts 2:44-45 & Acts 3:32-25

~fellowshipped and had communion in members' homes according to Acts 2:46

The Catholic church instead:

~has men not chosen by God, who attend theologian colleges

~has very few women who cover their heads, never mind dress decent for mass

~worships dead christians and a dead woman by praying to them to influence God

~severely tithes people

~was and is plagued with nepotism and the selling of indulgences

~refuses to accept God's word as the sole truth, by adding in fake scriptures and man made traditions

~permits church members to go to war

In other words, the Catholic church is not and was not, the first church.

Catholics are Christians, but only just with their pagan influences.
