Question:

Why do questions get deleted?

I had a question that was simply about bringing down industrial civilisation. It was very old when I realized that it had been deleted. Could that be it? Old questions expire and get deleted?

  1. I don't think questions expire because there are over 25,000 questions/answers under "discover" in this Community Service section alone.

Also, in doing google searches I occasionally get a result that is a question/answer from this board and some have been many months old.

My guess is that your question got deleted from someone reporting it.  That's happened even with resolved questions!  It's very frustrating if it's nothing that violated Community Guidelines :-(  You can appeal and sometimes people get the decision reversed and their question re-appears.

  2. Don't kno. Bet i had an answer deleted -

and win i asked WHY? so i could avoid doing whatever i did wrong? again - i got no answer.

Obviously, there are Overseers making periodic CHECKS

    in2 the  ' goings on '  in the question/answer whirl'd.

    Which is probably quite GOOD.

Why Not ask yir Question ---- Again ?

    Seems fine enuff 2 mee.

  3. yes your right..expired

  4. Sometimes if a person does'nt agree with your question hun..they can report it and it will get deleted.

  5. The person asking the question can delete it or someone can report it as against the rules or it can expire after three days

  6. Yes exactly. You can prevent this by extending your question. You'll usually get a mail saying that its been so many days and no one has answered would you like to extend the length of the time for you question to be answer.

  7. in my case the haters and trolls report me at least once a day when I'm on here answering questions, some even work for yahoo.
