Oil is so valuable, for making plastics, medical tools, and so on. The US has reserves in ANWAR and off our coasts that will be worth so much more in 50 years. Why are they so eager to burn (ie: use in the most wasteful means possible) these resources now instead of conserving them when other nations are willing to sell their oil to be burnt?

  1. I don't think George Bush or  D i c k  Cheney will be alive 50 years from now.  Virtually nobody lives to be that old.

I don't think people care that much about what will happen after they die.  That's why the US government is accumulating huge debts too.  It's nice to live it up now and let the future generations work like dogs to pay off these debts.

The Democrats are just as responsible for running up US debts as the Republicans are.  I don't think the 'conservative types' have a monopoly on not caring about the future.  The liberals often don't care about the future too, but in a different way.

  2. Why do liberals want to ignore that a 21st century America runs on energy from Coal and Oil and without the economy will crash and millions will find themselves unemployed and living on welfare checks the liberals are passing out as a rescue for their fail policies on saving rocky the racoon over John Doe?
