  1. The "innocent" ones we have killed are not living off the taxpayers any more,  now are they...?

We should scrap the death penalty like "most civilized" nations have for many reasons....

Possibly killing an innocent person is one of the reasons, but that obviously does not matter to most Americans does it..?

First order of business, get revenge right....?

  2. Yeah but that is not the case these days. h**l, they even try to soften the thought of death with c**p like lethal injection. The point is if you are dying, you're dying.

  3. Becaues of people like Lester Leroy Bower Jr.

Bower was convicted for the 1984 execution-style murder of four people in an airport hangar just north of Dallas. A jury deliberated just two hours before convicting him, then deliberated only two hours more the following day before deciding he should die for the murders. For the jury to convict and condemn so quickly, you’d think it was an open-and-shut case.

It was anything but that. The Associate Press reported no fingerprints put him at the scene, no witnesses saw him at the hangar, and the murder weapon was never found. Bower never confessed and has maintained his innocence. He was convicted and sentenced to die based on circumstantial evidence.

DNA testing wasn’t available in 1984. Last week, a state judge stopped his execution, which was scheduled for July 22, and agreed to consider Bower’s request that evidence be examined to see if DNA testing could back up his claim of innocence.

Bower might or might not be the killer. What is clear, though, is that he should not be on death row when there was no hard evidence linking him to the murders.

The case of Bower might not bring an end to the death penalty. However, they certainly reinforce the argument for a nationwide moratorium. Too many innocent people are now being freed from jail to have any confidence that the criminal justice system always executes the right man.

Now, I have a off-hand question for you. Why do "you" put every other "word" in quotes in "your" sentences?

  4. Its cheaper to put put a killer to death than keep them in jail .

  5. Because it's 2008 and it is seen as being human right's abuse due to too many innocent people were and have been executed before the discovery of D.N.A.

Now it takes years to prove if the person on death row was involved or committed the crime etc or if they were mentally ill when the crime was committed.

There is no death row or death sentence in the country I live in, it's only never to be released and spend their lifetime in prison.

  6. Perhaps the penalty should be left for the victim's family to decide, when it comes to life in prison or death,

  7. Ironically you right wing guys chopped down most of the big oak trees when you were raping your country.

Still, I don't see what you are complaining about. You imprison and execute more people than any other country - more than China, Iran, Turkey, Zimbabwe, and Suadi Arabia.

It's the war criminals running your country you should be worrying about. But then don't you support your boys in  Afghanistan and Iraq, killing for oil?
