Why do really bad singers on X-factor believe they are the best singers alive?

Then act really surpirsed when the judges tell them the reality, they are awful? Are they insane or just deluded?

yea think that their families have told them that they are good since they were babies,getting them up at family get togethers, and we all sound good when we have a few drinks in us, cold light of day its a reality check

they have families that dont want to let them down so fill their heads with false belief that they can acctually sing.

Because they don't actually hear what we are hearing, I bet none of them have actually recorded themselves and played it back to listen to what they really sound like.

All they know is that their friends and family have told them they have the "voice of an angel" and because the majority of them don't have anything else in their lives to cling to they believe what they are told.

Specifically that crater-mouth blue coat on tonight's show who thought she was great, she really believed that a bunch of boozed-up holiday makers actually listened to her singing and thought she was great coz that's what her agent told her !!

its hilarious isn't it? i think some of them do actually believe they can sing but alot of it has to be people doing it for a joke.  its great entertainment though, i love X-factor!

they are paid to produce lousy singers...its a tv programme....a bit of excitement....looks good and shows the panel up real good
