And that it is against the bible? I think that's a bunch of c**p even though it says that in the bible. What can I use as an argument though since it DOES say that in the bible?

  1. no h**l or heaven but meanwhile they are not lieng to another people.. all is Ok..you know not adultery or stuff like that

  2. Its the Christianity bible..and because it was mentioned in the old testament in verses stating that its an abomination....but the old testament has different interpretations and it means something else then what people in general thought it meant...and the old testament has been modified by people so many times. The new Testament doesn't mention anything about homosexuality (only the old testament) and its been modified in different interpretation....so the best thing for you to do (if you're a christian) is to follow your heart (that's what god mention in the bible) and if my heart is sexually/romantically attracted to another guy, well then h**l be it!

  3. it DOES go against what the bible says.  EVERYONE does things that go against the bible.  the bible is just a general book of rules that God intended for people to try to follow.  i don't believe that anyone will go to h**l as long as they ask for forgiveness of all their sins, whatever those may be.

  4. Just point out other things that the Bible says that most people don't follow anymore. It says that women cannot be teachers, can't speak in church, and can't wear expensive jewelry. It says that we can't mix clothing materials, like wear cotton pants with a nylon shirt. We can't eat certain foods, even though they are sanitary to eat now. We can have slaves, and beat them as long as they don't die, sell our children as long as we don't buy them back. Stone someone to death just for being different than most people. Stone a woman to death because she's pregnant outside of marriage, which would also be killing the baby. There are a lot of other things, and a lot of them come in pretty handy.

  5. It is against the Bible - you dont have to be a Christian to know that.

You're forgetting that Many Christians, Muslims ,Jews and yes Atheists,  and even Hindu's do not agree with homosexuality.  Many Chinese atheists and Christians and muslims see it as a 'disease'.

Well I guess many people have their views. If you dont accept homosexuality its your view same way if you do accept it. It doesnt mean we gotta kill each other over it though.

Its okay for me to like you as you; if I were your friend; but if I dont agree with homosexuality I shoulnt be 'bashed' about it. Neither should anyone riddicule or insult you for beign g*y.

  6. cause ppl insult wat they don't get or like cause its not what THEY r into dude just blow them off or something

  7. Tell them to get their heads out of their ***. Who died and made them God, they are judging people and only God gets to do that.  He made all living things just the way he wanted them to be and that includes you.  You should know by now that if people don't understand something in life the just bash it.  But I'm straight and I love you just the way you are.

  8. "But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you."

    and~

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."

All sins are supposed to be equal, i don't see people protesting out side of red lobster, do you?

  9. Those folks are misinterpreting the Bible, just as people misapplied the Bible to "prove" the goodness of slavery 150 years ago.

It isn't wrong to be g*y. Modern, equal, loving, same-s*x relationships are not what the Bible was referring to in those ancient days.

The Bible was written for people in a definite historical *context*, and has to be understood in that light.

What the Biblical writers were upset about were boys being abducted and sold into sexual slavery (that's what "arsenokoites" means in 1 Corinthians 6:9).  So yeah, Paul was saying that guys who steal boys and sell the boys into sexual slavery cannot enter God's kingdom in that horrific pattern of life.  But that is not talking about modern, equal, faithful same-s*x partnerships: it's talking about abduction, rape and prostitution of boys.

The biblical writers were also against the freed, Hebrew men using another free, Hebrew man to sexually dominate him in servitude (Leviticus 18 and 20).  That only makes sense if you consider they had just been released from slavery in Egypt.  The passage explicitly says not just "Man shall not lie with man" but goes on to say, "as with a woman", that is, dominating another man in servitude as women were treated then.  But again, that is not talking about a modern, same s*x relationship.

Paul the apostle also in Romans 1 uses the Cybele cult of his day as an example of the horrors of idolatry. Rejecting the teaching of their own philosophers that God was an invisible Deity, the people of Corinth and Rome instead began worshiping the mother goddess Cybele using her idols of women, lions and serpents.

Her priests castrated themselves (!), wore women's clothing and played the part of women in ritual temple prostitution. Even the women likewise were fitted with artificial phalli and played the part of men in this temple prostitution to Cybele.

I don't think those are good things either!  lol

In other words, the Biblical authors had good reason to write what they did in that context, and I'm sure that reflected God's will that his people not fall into domination of others, predation against boys, bodily mutilation, and worship of false gods.

But that is as different from a modern, loving, faithful g*y couple as night and day.

So, many religious people are not Bible scholars, don't know the original language or the history, and are simply misled by bigoted tradition and ignorance.  They mean well I suppose, but they are mistaken and are themselves falling into the terrible trap of judging and condemning others.

God loves you as the awesome g*y man he created, my friend.  Those who tell you otherwise do not know the full story.

  10. becuase if you havent really noticed those people take that book way to seriously....they are also the people that believe in creationism and not in evolution....im sure they are nice people and all but i think their kinda crazy...and yes i believe in god

i heard a comidian say something like this

"the 1st top selling book in the world is the bible. the second is harry potter...hmmm a book about a boy with wizard powers, that sounds kinda familiar", ha, well i thought it was funny

  11. god didnt write the bible.

i believe that there is a god but he didnt write the bible.

to me g*y guys going to h**l makes as much sense as a suicide bomber getting 72 virgins. (i think thats the number).

i, unlike most christians, think that god is a nice god who doesnt make people just to send them to h**l.

  12. Bible seriously harm mental and physical healt

  13. Not all religious people say that. Many Christians are entirely accepting of homosexuality. You don't need to argue with people who think they know whether you'll go to h**l or not - that's between you and God.

My advice is that you should get to know some of the open-minded churches and clergy in your area. They can help you if you need a theological defense for homosexuality.

  14. dont argue, each to its own their just stupid and they act like they know everything their a coupl levels below

  15. The bible was written tousands of years ago by random people who claimed it was God's word. It's an important historical document, but has virtually no soveriegn power whatsoever. Just because the bible says somthing doesn't mean it's fact. It's most likely just the opinion of some ancient "scholar" who wrote it in the bible two thousand years ago.

  16. I agree with that it is a bunch of nonsense. If God didn't want the LGBT community on the earth and that we will go to h**l, He wouldn't have put us on the earth ever. God judges on what we do, not who we are or what we look like.
