Why do repo cans insist 1 man could not have saved the oil prices?

repo cans keep saying Bush could NOT have salvaged oil prices while they went from $2.00 per gallon to just under $5.00 per gallon.

but then they insist McSame will reverse the oil prices?

oh I hurt my side laughing !!

  1. Ah, liberal rant alarm !! whoop whoop !! And best of all, it's an illiterate and uninformed rant:  GAS is now at $5 a gallon, OIL is at $2.80 an gallon...

    Republicans (and 85% of economists) understand that the President couldn't have lowered gasoline prices OR oil prices markedly because:  WE ARE A FREE MARKET ECONOMY !!

    The ONLY countries with "low" fuel prices are those that subsidized the sales... Venezuela for example has prices under a dollar a gallon, because the government PAYS for the gas.

    SO, if you'd like to raise about $800 billion in taxes, I guess we COULD have $2 gas again... along with a destroyed economy.

    I have NEVER heard McCain say he can lower gas prices to pre-2000 levels... give us a source.  He only seeks to stabilize the price and reduce the dependence on FOREIGN sources not aligned with the US.
