  1. Do you live in the USA?

We like our drinks really cold. I lived in Italy for 3 years & had to drink my drinks hot. (gross) It gave me a stomach ache.

  2. I always say, "light light ice please!" The less ice, the more you get for your money! The more ice, the less product. Besides, ice only waters down pop or juice.

  3. So they can give you less soda.

  4. They want the ice to take up more room, so they give you less drink, for the same price. Ripoff. Ask for no ice. !

  5. It saves them money.  Ice takes up volume in the cup and therefore the restaurant saves on the cost of their beverages.

  6. It's just standard practice. You can always ask for no ice.  Postmix drinks are a thick syrup mixed with gassy water.  They're pretty disgusting without ice and get warm and icky pretty quickly, and a nice icy glass of drink looks more aesthetically pleasing.  It's not to try and rip you off - ice costs money too,

  7. because then it keeps them cold and the restaurant can fill the cup with ice, which is cheaper than the fountain drink

  8. Because the ice takes up more room in the cup, thus giving you little drink. I always ask for no ice.
