  1. I don't have that problem, as I also love both- however, you can always call ahead and claim to have allergies to shellfish, and see if it will be a problem or not.  You can always, especially in posh restaurants, ask for your food minus those things you don't like.

  2. cuz your going into seafood restaraunts dummy

  3. Well there is nothing wrong in asking for a certain dish, and asking them not to put in the mushrooms or prawns.

  4. I can't speak of places that serve food , as I do not frequent them , but I go to restaurants all the time , and never eat mushrooms or shellfish.

    Must be your location.

  5. You can always request a dish made without either of these things. Many restaurants are used to recieving special requests and if the dish is not prepared ahead of time, can easily be accomidated.

  6. No, and if they did they would have to list the items included in the entree due to some people having allergies. Especially to shellfish.

  7. maybe its just part of the poshness...

  8. No problem for me, I love them both!! (Apart from mussels)

  9. well for me it`s ok because i love both of them!

  10. then ask dat u dont want any. simple solution!

  11. I don't mind that as much as the recent spate of covering everything in pesto

I like pesto but theres only so much I can take

  12. They want you to develop a shellfish allergy so you die. I'm so sorry :(

  13. lol. I never get mushrooms or prawns in my food unless I order them.

  14. I think that must be an issue with your restaurant selection. Also, you can usually have food items that you don't care for left out of your meal.

  15. i think you'll find they don't actually !

  16. No can't say that I have that issue.

  17. The only reason I could think this would happen is if you went to a specialist restaurant (mainly fish).

You can always ask them not to put mushrooms in if it is a dish made to order.

If you book a table over the phone, ask them what their main food dishes are and if it is sea food dont go there as there will be limited choice.  Try specific restaurants like Italian, Chinese, Indian, they tend to be the general meats with the choice of fish and can be posh too.

I dont like sea food either and sometimes have this problem, love mushrooms tho.

  18. just ask them to leave it out...that's the good thing about paying so much for a meal in a fancy restaurant, you don't feel bad making extra requests of the chef, ie don't put mushrooms in that dish...substitute something else... they really don't mind as long as you are polite, its better to ask in advance than to send back an entire plate of food, that they do mind....

  19. i don't mind any of them i think they all taste pritty good

  20. You could ask them to leave out the shellfish/mushrooms when you order.

  21. I like both seafoods and mushrooms....However If I were you I would ask that the thing you dislike not be incuded in the dish....Its less for the chef to do and most places will be only too happy to oblige you....Also you could ask for an alternate to whatever it is you dont want...

  22. Not really.

  23. I eat at nice places all the time, and that's not true. What places are you talking about?

  24. i have been to plenty of "posh"restaurants and i don't find this is the case... maybe just ask them if they can change something due to an allergy ( even if your not allergic) or go to a different place to eat.

  25. There is a surplus of mushroom farmers in the world, which is keeping us vegetable farmers out of business and keeping restaurants stocked, all because mushrooms are posh. Maybe you should try going to a restaurant that doesnt serve mushrooms, prawns or shellfish, like KFC.

  26. theyre hoping you have an alergic reaction and your butt will fall off.

    I know,my dad owns 4 restruants.

  27. I have thirty five years experience as a chef in many dozens of hotels and restaurants and I have never seen a place that puts mushrooms and shellfish in everything.

  28. yes thay do , just ask him befor you order,
