Do they enter a house or a bar, more likely, in the same manner?

  1. It started in rugby league, where you were taught to hold the ball tightly and fall on it so as not to have an accidental knock on by placing it with your hands.

  2. Most people don't dive into the endzone if no one is around. They usually just place the ball down and stop to catch their breath. Diving is only useful if they guy behind you is either really fast or really close to you.

  3. Because they have to "down" the ball in the endzone to score. Its not like american football where u just have to cross. So they dive to down the ball.
