  1. it has to do with the rules, by the way rugby is alot better then american football

  2. basically passing the ball backwards is part of the game. u can only pass the ball backwards. this makes the game more challenging cuz eventually even though u pass backwards u have to work hard to go forward, thus rugby being more fun and more challenging than american football (:

  3. Ah, one of life's great mysteries, right up there with "How did they get the caramel in the caramilk bar??".

  4. Ask the rugby players dude

  5. rugby is a game of skill and real hard hitting not the c**p the americans play you should try it some time

  6. because they are from outer space

  7. i think because rugby is such a defense sport thats why they pass it backwards then run forwards.

  8. Because it is illegal to pass the ball forward in rugby, unless you kick it. And they have to go forward in order to score a try which helps them to win.

  9. It makes the game more competitive and structured in my opinion. If you look at a game like Rugby it's generally very structured and not allowing players to throw/pass the ball forward keeps this structure to a certain extent. If the players could pass forward it would be all over the show, part of the main skill of the game is long passing, it's seems much easier to 'throw' the ball like in American Football, you can cover longer distances quicker which in my opinion would spoil a game like Rugby. That said, Rugby and American Football are completely different games, you can't compare them really.

  10. I believe it is due to the RULES.

  11. They're the RULES!!!!!!
