Why do rugs fray in the dryer?

  1. because they are not end stiched!!! or have a hem on them!!


  2. The thread become unwoven.

    Don't put them in the dryer.  You can buy something called Fray Check that will fuse the threads together so that they will not unwind.  It's kind of like super glue.
