Why do saladas have holes in them

at first i thought it was for the look but does it reduce the impact of breaking if dropped on the ground or what

  1. I think the person who came up with the idea of Saladas must have have been thinking how cool would it be to squish the butter & vegemite through the holes.

    Coz i know that's what i think when eating them.

  2. Because insects eat the crops and farmers are forced too chop them down like that so that is how you are served your salad produce.
