  1. Actually a sausage will swell up as it cooks, and then shrival once it is removed when it is done.

  2. You have your answers, and I see thumbs down on the ones who are telling you the truth.

The meat when ground allows for more of the moisture from the water the animal consumed and the blood, has more surface area now and it evaporates when cooked.

Also when you cook animal fat, it liquidity's and thus the sausages shrink when they've been cooked.

  3. I can imagine why this question was removed lol! silly people!

As for your question same as above i presume :)

  4. there pumped with water to make them look bigger so when you cook them the water evaporates

  5. Now we've seen the rest of your sort of "questions" we know why the other one was removed.

Now, what does AGIATE mean? I don't think I've EVER agiated a sausage, not even a small one like yours seems to be, and you're right - a large sausage IS sometimes a bit too much, so if your's is that small, you should have no - or little - problems with it.

  6. the fat in sausage turns into liquid and gets out. A large sausage will cook longer to get the fat out and be cooked

  7. meat shrinks as you cook it

  8. They have tons of fat in them, which cooks out as you fry, grill or boil them....  Depending on the amount of fat, they could shrink to half the original size
