Why do scab electricians always give a good ol' boy thumbs down?

Is it because we earn more? Because we are better educated? Are they jelouse of us because we earn more on our free pensions? Because we are smarter? Or is it just because they are rats?

Well moron, If you knew more about doing electrical work you would not have so much free time to sit on here and debate with homeowners on how to wire things. I have been in the trade for 22 years and been a master electrician for 12 I have owned my own company for 10 as well. How long have you been laid off for? jack off. I have 15 employees, 3 are in the state apprenticeship program, 11 are journeymen and 1 is also a master electrician. You are going to tell me you have more of an education than any of my guys. They went through a state run program, not a good ole boy show up for class and we will give you your card cause your my union buddy program. Most of you could not even keep your jobs in the private sector which is what the rest of us work in. I do not have to extort my customers and my employees do not have to threaten me with a strike to get a raise or to keep their jobs. They earn it just like I earn my money. My rates are higher than both off the largest union shops in town. I do better work I should make more money. The customers agree as well, I could not tell you how many times I have inherited a job they could not figure out how to make the customer happy. I will give you a hint, it is called customer service. no one like a cry baby and that is what the union stands for to soooooooo many people out there. Your not going to hire me to do the work so my guys are going to stand out front and harrass your customers... Your a joke. You call us Rats. I tell you what, you show me your w-2 and I will show you mine.  The youngest journey man we have at my shop makes $32.15 / hour NOT INCLUDING BENIFITS, in addition to that I GIVE him 2 weeks paid vacation. I match his contributions to his 401k and he gets profit sharing in the company, usually about 7k a year. Last year he made 78k + when everything was said and done and he is low man on the pole. As far as your benifits don't even try, You pay for your pension, you pay for your vacation, you pay for your sick time and you pay for being laid off 4 month a year and still kicking in for your dues. I don't even know why I am typing this because I know that you are not going to belive it anyway you union idiots are so thick skulled and brain washed but maybe the general public will see that you are full of it and so is the union.

If you are talking about being in YA, most the time you are not getting responses from "any type" electrician. Just a bunch of idiots who couldn't plug in a TV without written and picture diagrams.

idiot, you don't make more your just reprogrammed to think you do.  And I steal work from you all the time.  I just wanna thank you, your s***w the contractor attitude makes me more money.  I bid higher then the biggest 3 union contractors around here and I still win more bids thanks to there lazy work habbits and lame excuses.  rock on... BROTHER

if your getting a lot of thumbs down maybe your advice isn't as good as you think it is.

I see a lot of thumbs down where I believe the information provided will lead someone to go into things that are over their heads. You deal with mostly homeowners here, not other professionals and things we do on a daily basis are beyond a lot of home owners capability.

You could cause people injury sending them into things they really don't understand.

the reason your getting thumbs down even thou your giving good advise is because people dont want to hear what your telling them. they want to be told they can re-wire there house themself for $10 using tin foil and kitchen knive as a s***w driver.

i get it all the time, im a damp proofing contractor and when i see some of the advise given on here it makes me laught,

Well I must say we are definitely not JEALOUS  of you for your spelling or grammar. EDUCATED? Oh and BTW your pension,vacation, sick time, and any other benefit's you receive are deducted from your paycheck and set aside into a fund to give back to you after they have taken all administration fees and political contributions from the interest and investment return. My wife works for the government and is in a union, she actually works for a living though, and she read the documentation she signed. She is Educated. She pays for her pension just like you, she pays for vacation just like you, she pays for her sick time just like you. The difference is she does not sit out in front of the courthouse holding a sign saying "Do not support this courthouse because they did not give me what I wanted", Or " I am not qualified to keep my job without other people threatening my boss with legal action."  Big difference, or is she just a rat. I guess if a rat is hard working and dedicated to doing the job to the level that is expected,  without regard of what other idiots think of them, I guess she is a rat.
