But they have ROTC programs of one day going to the military.

They also say it is good to fight for your country?

They also want to expell you for defending yourself?

Why is there always hypocrisy in school?

  1. ok man they want use to use words when we fight thats what they say but i say they just don't want to be sued i mean why would they have ROTC because its for the country and dieing for your country is ok but fighting is not wtf talking wont do **** you have to fight sometimes and i think its bull that they can carry wooden rifles wtf and we cant bring a water gun couse it looks like a gun wtf bull

  2. Yeah, people have the right to defend themselves. I mean what else are you supposed to do if you're getting jumped?

  3. They wish to prevent riots in the hallways.

Settling differences with violence is not productive.  Just bloody and painful.

Did you get in trouble for defending yourself?  Did the other person also get in trouble?

  4. Well, in a school fight your harming someone (most likely a teen  or teacher for something smaller) But see when someone keeps bugging you over and over again and you just deal with it and then one day you just have had enough and you do something about it, let punishment for you.

In the army you defend your country for something BIGGER then name calling. way bigger. And war is a last resort.

  5. the goal of ROTC programs is to teach leadership. they do not force anyone to join the military. also the military goal is to protect our freedoms. they try to do it as non violently as possible. but they also have to act in self defense. schools have to get students in trouble for fighting because if they dont all the students will think they can fight

  6. Fighting in school gives you the idea that it's okay to fight. Mind you, Thomas Jefferson said it was okay to fight. "Sometimes the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants." But see, teaching you that rebellion is a good thing on a large scale might encourage you to stand up to your teachers on a small scale, and you can see why they wouldn't want that - no petty tyrant who has very little power to wield (usually the ones who wield it the most vigorously) wants to see that power threatened.

Also, we live in a very litigious (lawsuit-happy) age. They don't want to wind up having to pay your medical bills for the next 80 years, so they make it your fault.

And what can you do? it's not like you have the option not to go - they've made very carefully certain of that - and put it in people's minds that only through school can you get a good job. (I say that very specifically - only through school. Not through any measure of real learning or education. You can study on your own until you can build a cold-fusion reactor in your basement out of chewing-gum wrappers and duct tape, but without a PhD on the wall you'll never work for NASA.)

And that's why there's hypocrisy in school. By making no sense and teaching you that authority doesn't have to make sense in order to be absolute, they teach you not to question what they've established. This is because the American education system is modeled on the World War I era German education system - a system designed to crank out, as efficiently as possible, docile, controllable, unthinking drones to feed the military-industrial complex.

  7. Why would a school encourage violence?

  8. umm...why would a school encourage violence?

  9. I know!!!

Are they saying that if you defend youself its wrong but if you defend your country its right? violence-wise?

    hypocriticsom-ocity!! lol

  10. I don't even know where to being with this.....   Just wow....

  11. The military is about defending freedoms and rights. Sadly, sometimes violence is a part of that, but a last resort.

A school shouldn't expel you for defending yourself, but  it should frown upon fighting and the instigator should be held accountable.
