I really think many of these old timers lose the ability to reason -- they go 65 years without gambling much, then suddenly become high rollers. Casinos bus in tons of these fools.

  1. It's their money and they should be able to enjoy it after working so hard for it their entire adult lives supporting their kids.   If it were your money, you would want to do whatever you want with it, wouldn't you.

  2. i am sure they would rather win... i believe the adrenalin flow makes them feel excited and healthy.. then it could become habit forming  .. if it is serious, try to get them into counsiling

  3. Would you suggest that they stay at home and wait for their turn to die?

Most do not become high rollers.  Most become modest slot players.  It is called recreational gaming.  In the same way that some people spend their money playing golf or visiting national parks, some enjoy playing games and slots in casinos.

Would you deny them the gaming they enjoy?  After years of working to build up retirement savings that generates an income on which they can live and relax in retirement, they are free to spend it as they see fit, including on casino gaming.

An inheritance is not assured to anyone.  If your family knew that you are more concerned about your inheritance than your parents' spending their money on recreation they choose, you may be cut out of any inheritance altogether.

  4. Same reason why my mother did for 18 years of my life, because they have a problem!!!! Or they like to have fun. A lot of times they are gambleholics.

  5. because its their money..they worked hard for it and they can do whatever they want with it

  6. Because it's their money.

  8. Oh wow do they ?? good on them if they do !!
