Why do skaters wear tight pants?

i wear tight pants and they help because you dont have any loose fabric in the way and its called stretch denem so its stretches for the curves of your leg and it feels realy good, but the bad part about them is that alot of people stare at you weird and think that you g*y........

Because baggy pants are really annoying when you're trying to ride a skate board.

Tight jeans just stick to you and you don't have to worry about them getting in your way, you move your leg forward and your pants go with it.

i personally cant skate in tight pants. i bought a pair and it screwed up my skating really bad. i could move my legs as fast. but if your a twig it mite be easier to move. my mom thinks its cuz they are g*y but its just a style.

I skate myself, and I don't where tight pants, it's an individual's own personal style, I don't wear tight pants day-to-day so I don't wear them when I skate. I personally think the looser pants give you more room but the tighter pants keeps keep you from tripping over yourself. Also it's part of the sub-culture of the skater lifestyle, the way you dress, act, and music you listen to. I don't lump people together with labels, I'm just saying.

its not that confortable lol it hugs my stuff way too much lol.

but some people like them because it keeps it all in one place and your junk doesnt fly everywhere.

its easier to do tricks on them and safer...u know ur pants wont get in the way or get stuck somewhere and rip off...like bell bottoms would...

If you had accidents such as falling on a pole, the tight pantd would reduce the impact from impailing you so hard. With baggy pants a pole can go right up your @$* and do some damage. good mobility as well.
