  1. they kill animals. they don't hurt them. at least not just for the sake of hurting them. let the thumbs down begin.

  2. It's their job.I have one thing to say,if slaughter houses had glass walls, a much MUCH bigger percontage of the world would be vegetarian. (margrayc, so,  is it ok if i slit you to bits and hang to upside down while your still alive unless it's personal?

  3. They don't LIKE to hurt animals - its their job. They've got to provide cheap meat to the masses, and its the easiest way to do it.

But it seems like you're one-sided and not open to debate...

you're not actually asking a question...

  4. It's not that they like to hurt them... It's not personal it's just business... of course it's your opinion, but that's mine.

  5. I'm not vegetarian and I say it's not wrong and I'm not with you.

Also, get some facts straight.  I'm sure you are too young or feeble-minded to realize that through your statements you are implying the employees of slaughterhouses are inherently evil people.  Do you honestly think the first interview question for a new hire is,

"So, would you consider yourself hellishly evil, or only somewhat evil?"

    followed by:

"When was the last time you kicked a dog, stole candy from a child,  or slapped your own mother and how did that experience go?"

"Yesterday?  Great! You're hired.  Your cow beating stick will be waiting for you in the personnel office."

Slaughterhouses are a business, like Gap or Starbucks or GM.  Get over it.

  6. It's slaughter. They don't do it to be mean. They do it so people can eat. The world doesn't revolve around you. Nobody cares what you think.

  7. It's spelled slaughter.  They don't hurt animals..they slaughter them.  Why?   Business.

  8. A sane, rational human being doesn't like to hurt animals. People w/sadistic emotional turmoil like to hurt animals. You will find both types working at a slaughter house. It would be nice if they could weed out the abusers....

  9. For Profit.  Come on, it's not wrong. They make it quick as possible for them, and then they serve up the tasty meat to me.  Hillshire farms.... GO MEAT !!!!!

  10. LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT, THE POOR ANIMALS IN SLAUGHTER HOUSES ARE NOT ONLY KILLED BUT WHEN ALIVE, THEY ARE ABUSED CONSTANTLY TORTURED ALSO. TO ALL THE IGNORANT AND SELFISH MEAT EATERS OUT THERE, YOU ALL DESERVE TO WATCH A VIDEO WHICH WILL REVEAL THE FACTS BEHIND WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW, BUT YOU DON'T! PLEASE, IF YOU EAT MEAT, AND CAN'T EVEN WATCH THIS VIDEO, THEN THE UTMOST SHAME ON YOU; KNOW THAT YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING VERY WRONG!

  11. I don't know why slotter houses like to hurt animals... but I do know slaughter houses don't necessarily hurt the animals, they just kill them.  Plus if they did hurt them they do it for a reason, because otherwise it would be a waste of time and money.

Go ahead vegetarians... thumbs down me, its fine by me

  12. "slaughter". It is their duty to provide meat to those humans that cannot hunt for themselves. After all< I think humans were meateaters before being vegitarian. It's okay as long as I don't have to see it taking place. Being veg'tian iis fine for those who participate however, carnivores need their meat!

  13. they do it to annoy ignorant holier-than-thou vegetarians who can't spell

  14. SLAUGHTER houses dont do it to hurt animals. they are just doing their jobs

  15. Here's a hint:$$$$$$$$$.

  16. Their legs get stuck in the slots and end up being broken in struggle.

I don't know why someone would build a slotter house but I suppose that animals should be smart enough not to wander in.

  17. Humans are the only animal aware of their own mortality.

I used to slaughter animals on a farm, and It is quick and painless. Be cool. If you wear leather shoes or feed your dog dog food your part of the process.

  18. They just don't care Autumn!! To them, there's no life there!! Just a moving piece of meat!  It's very wrong!!

  19. Read Fast Food Nation.  It's a great book and it explains how everything is driven by profit.  The assembly lines move unreasonably fast in order to maximize production...but it also maximizes cruelty.  For those who aren't concerned about the animals, the book gives many examples of how horribly the workers are treated as well.  Many lose limbs, etc, and do not receive proper medical care.  They often get paid next to nothing, but they do not think they have another option.  Animal rights abuses and human rights abuses occur daily in slaughter houses.  I became vegan out of concern for animals, but I think the public needs to be educated on the vast amount of human rights abuses occurring in slaughter houses.  Lets face it...many people could care less about animals, but if they knew about how other humans were being treated, maybe they'd take a stand.

I have a question for Ima L--Have you ever heard of anyone in this country having a protein deficiency??? I haven't.  Most Americans (including vegetarians) consume more protein than they need.  Too much protein places a strain on your kidneys and leads to a variety of health problems.  Also, if you feel the need to criticize the intelligence of others, perhaps it is you that is insecure about your own intelligence.

  20. You Spelled "Slaughter" Wrong, The Animals Were Bred To Be Eaten, They Don't Feel The Pain So It's All Good (Y) The Fact You're A Vegetarian Makes No Difference To The World, You Do Realise This Yeeees?

  21. They don't try to hurt them they try to make it as quick as possible. They do it for the profit though.

  22. money makes the world go round!!!!

  23. Its pre-tenderizing.

  24. i think everybody has there own oppinion but don't rub it in this poor girls face that meat is like so tasty and all that c**p! personally i have a vegetarian friend and everybodys always like look i'm eating meat and i think that is totally inmature and rude and uncalled for
