Question:

Why do so many Americans melt over free healthcare when all signs point to it being bad for our people?

In countries like Britain and Canada Healthcare is free but there are waiting lists. Some people have to wait as long as 10 years for their time to get their operation. In Canada there is a case where one woman had to get a surgery in 3 months or she would die. When she pleaded to the all loving Canadian Healthcare system they told her that the best they could do was put her on the list for her operation in 3 YEARS!!! She was going to die in three months!! She heard that she could go over the border and have operations done in the United States faster. (Which does not have a healthcare system) She came over the border and had the operation done that weekend!!! I think our hospitals that we have should get a round of applause. In Britain over 150,000 lives have been lost already to waiting lists. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO AMERICA!

  1. I think you greatly oversimplify the issues.  None of the U.S. political parties is proposing a National Health System such as Britain's.

  2. my mom died after waiting 5 hours in an ER on a hard gurney. And you're slamming other countries healthcare?

  3. I am glad to see someone finally trying to show all the uninformed people what universal health care really is. I hope it never happens here.

  4. Too many people only see the word FREE, nothing else matters to them.

  5. Capitolism is the unequal distribution of wealth.

Socialism is the equal distribution of misery.

  6. Why did it take me over a month to schedule a simple colonoscopy in the non-free health care America when I had EXCELLENT insurance & lived in a major metro area with many hospitals & specialist doctors & no other mitigating medical factors?

I really doubt that this Canadian lady could get ANY serious surgery scheduled that quickly in the USA.

Not that I am arguing for free healthcare! But the healthcare system in the USA is BROKEN.

Wait a minute - hey I know you! You are a healthcare provider executive! Rounding up more suckers to help you pay off your Rolls???

  7. That Canadian woman, when she went to the USA for medical treatment, did she pay for it? If she didn't why did an American hospital treat a foreigner when they won't treat their own people?

If you can afford to pay there's never a waiting list.

I think i read somewhere that ordinary, decent, middle-class Americans dread needing a major operation as the financial costs would ruin them.

Free healthcare allows people some security. I can't understand why it isn't available in the US.

  8. Free is not free people the money has to come from somewhere, lets say a huge grocery tax like what many European countries do.  Why don't all the socialist move to China?

  9. To give an informed answer see the movie "SICKO"

The  American  people have been brainwashed into

thinking "National Health care" not free health care!!

is bad for this Country ! the only people that say it's

bad is the Health Insurance Industry!! that have hundreds

of lobbyist handing out bribes to our elected Representatives

in Washington to pass legislation in their favor!!

The American people have to Wake up and vote this charlatans out of office so that the people in Washington do what the American  people dictate "NOT THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS"

that is why Health care cost so much in this country!

in other words If you have insurance and  a way to

pay when you get sick Hospitals will treat you!!!

if not your **** out of luck!! that's why when you enter a

Hospital do they ask you whats wrong with you??

NO they ask you if you have "INSURANCE"

What I'm trying to say is when will the American going

to take their heads out of their @ss and stop believing

the Health insurance industry and all their "PROPAGANDA"

    WAKE UP!!!!!!!!

  10. The reason the socialized medicine systems of canada and britain don't work is simple:  AMERICA is to blame, why would you practice medicine in your home country when you can just mosey on over here and make millions?  if we were to bring socialized medicine to this country, then those who pursue a career in medicine simply to become rich would have to find a new money-making scheme.  Why are we still paying doctors in this country mllions of dollars when we are in the bottom 25 healthcare systems of the world?  We are encouraging bad medicine, unnecessary surgeries, unnecessary prescriptions, and a world where the once caring physician looks at you and only sees dollar signs.  Does the hippocratic oath mean nothing in this country?

  11. Ask the 40% of Americans who don't have health insurance how good the care they get is?

The greatest cuase of personal bankruptcy in the US is chronic illness.

Also, the American system is extremely corrupt. I take prescription medicine. If I buy 30 pills at the Rite Aide it costs $300. If I order the same pills from Canada the cost is about $100.

How come the American system charges three times as much as the "inferior" Canadian system?

I'm not sure why you think paying $100 is "Bad" compared to paying $300?

  12. There are long waiting lists in America and people denied life saving surgery by their insurance here.  It's a myth that it's any different.

  13. LOL!

What a sad state of affairs when you guys have to tell absurd lies to back up your arguments.

Guess thats because your arguments are so poor you need to make up fictional stories (like your Canadian one).

  14. I relocated to Canada from Pennsylvania about 2 months ago and I can assure you that your argument is weak and from the sounds of it, maybe an isolated incident (although you provided no citation to this alleged story).  I walked into a clinic and waited 15 minutes, with 5 people ahead of me.  There was... no waiting involved.  And all I had was the sniffles.

My husband's grandmother was treated for Cancer... free of charge.  In a timely fashion as well.  Who would've thought.

  15. they also make people who smoke in the UK...........go home and die from lung cancer, they wont treat them at all

  16. I think it's great, if Americans are dumb enough to go for it, it will be hilarious to watch all the pissing and moaning about it.

  17. Please I would like to see substantiated proof of these statements:  "10 year waiting list, list for operation in 3 years, 150,000 lives lost."

I keep  reading these postings but there is never any proof.

The 45 million uninsured Americans would be very happy to have the Canadian system.

How do you justify the richest, strongest country in the world not providing health care to all our citizens.
