I was basically talking about the racial tension between Whites and Blacks in the Detroit metro area.

  1. Because it's easier for people on both sides to hate each other than to forgive and move on. I'm glad I wasn't around back then to have my perception of the city tainted. I love Detroit!

  2. I have never heard anything from other residents about this.  My grandmother talked about it when she was alive but no one else has ever mentioned it in a negative way in my presence since and that's been five years now.

  3. I don't know anyone who "holds a grudge" about anything that happened.  Unfortunately, I do know a few people who still go by the old stereotypes.  That's something I don't understand!
