We are booking our honeymoon in Italy and are having trouble finding rooms that are not two twin joined beds. Is this a cultural difference between Europe and the United States?

  1. They disapprove of s*x,I guess. Remind me not to travel in Europe.

  2. yes it is

  3. it's weird. I guess you better call the hotels in advance and specify you want a "camera matrimoniale" because you are on your honeymoon. I never had trouble on my vacations, and I can assure you that all hotels in Italy have queen sized beds. King size are a bit more difficult to find.

  4. Its not so much a cultural difference. Its just that most Europeans see bedtime as a private individual thing. You can push your beds together in most hotels or ask the hotel staff to do this ahead of time.

  5. in italy you must ask for a "letto matrimoniale"... i never had any problem to find it... it sounds strange..
