Question:

Why do so many believe that Bush and McCain are pro life?

Both of them think it's morally acceptable to abort a baby in cases of incest and rape. So it's ok to kill some babies, not others?

Both of them think "America is not ready to overturn Roe v Wade." So we should just continue to allow the holocaust just because people have become complacent? A President shouldn't do everything in his power to stop it?

Both of them when asked said they would NOT counsel their own daughter against abortion if she were in a crisis pregnancy. This is classic pro choice rhetoric - i.e. "I support whatever choice you make."

Both Bush and McCain will not commit to appointing specifically pro life judges. The only requirement is that he or she "follow the constitution." So much for making a difference with judicial appointments!

  1. Bush had years to do something about Row v. Wade and he did not that lets me know they like having abortion as an issue to get the votes from that particular group of people.

  2. As George Carlin (RIP) said, "Once you're born, you're on your own." That's how these people think.

They need a cause to make them appear morally superior to stupid people.

  3. As James Glaser has said "George Bush gave just enough Bible quotes and talked about the unborn often enough, that many people assumed that Bush was pro-life."

Now with 8 long years under his belt, and not one baby saved, we can see that it was just rhetoric and he never intended to actively work towards the day when Roe might be overturned.

And with McCain it will be the same.

Natasha B is absolutely right on!

  4. Because the Religious Right will believe anything they are told, by someone who claims to be coservative, and is a member of the GOP, because their sect leaders tells them to.
