  1. I think you'll find that some of those countries still have her as Head of State and therefore she is on the coins.

However, she is only head of State of Four - Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Canada

  2. Because the royals are always in our pockets.

  3. Every country which has the greatest King's institution, the government will put his/hers picture on the banknotes and coins to honour him/her such as United Kingdom, Phutan, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand.

  4. She is best beloved, not only as Queen, but as head of the Commonwealth.  Her influence stretches far beyond England's former empire.

  5. Coins with the image of Elizabeth II are Commonwealth members.

Regarding the Bermuda coinage with a pig on one side, there's an interesting story behind that. See my web site: http://www.valuable-coin-stories.com/fer...

  6. Well, officially she's Queen of Australia too.

  7. Pacific Rim countries are part of the Commonwealth of Great Britain and Queen Elizabeth is, in an honorary sense, their sovereign.

Royal sovereign's images have adorned coinage since ancient times, a symbol of the country of origin and a visual statement that the sovereign was lord over that country's treasury.

  8. Usually the commonwealth countries and those who were colonized during the British Empire have pictures of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on them out of respect for her reign.  Many of the Pacific Rim countries were colonized by England centuries ago.

  9. because england has taken over many countires before.

and the countires still respect her as their queen even though she doesn't really rule the place.

  10. Because they are in the commonwealth/empire (forever england).

or maybe there was a deal on?

  11. too many

  12. She is the Mother of most country's. Do you know who the mother country of the United States is?

  13. Because Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom (not just England, please get it right.) is the head of the British Commonwealth, which association of states includes New Zealand, Australia, New Guinea, a number of Pacific Island  states, and Canada.

  14. You will find that these countries are part of the Commonwealth of Nations of Great Britain. The head of state of all these countries is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Her image also appears on the postage stamps of the same countries.

  15. The vanity of the British Royal Family is the reason. They actually go as far as to pay a country for depicting the Queen on coins, stamps etc. The payment is based on quantity - i.e. so much for coin or stamp produced and put into circulation.

  16. commonwealth nations still pay homage to old Lizzie.

my favorite as actually Bermuda; you have a pig on one side, QE2 herself on the other!

  17. DUH? I done know?
