Question:

Why do so many denominations avoid the central Gospel theme of "light"?

The Original Kingdom Gospel was about light, not sacrifice. Why do so many denominations avoid that central theme of light?

To support my question, just check out what Jesus said about "light," and what he said about "sacrifice." All positive on the first and all negative on the second.

I ask because it is that light that brings about the transformation Jesus was talking about in the Sermon on the Mount. More context is on my biography.

  1.      The light you talk about is "truth".  God could care less about worldly truths, but Gods truths, have been forever and will always be.  Man teaches of the world.  While God teaches of Godly things, which are unprofitable in the world.

That's why God says, if you love the world you do not have the father in you.  God is preparing this world for his Sons return as the bridegroom is to wed his church, which consists of people God is teaching at this time, who shall be called the New Jerusalem.

One without the light see only things in Israel, while those in the light see the whole world for all 12 tribes shall be represented upon Christ return.  The world believes 10 tribes have been lost, yet, many today scattered around the world are descendants of the 10 lost tribes, but no one knows which tribe their ancestors are from except God in heaven knows, and that is why when his Son returns, the Angels will bring with them the books who's names are written in the book of life and the book of the law of God.

We were light before we retained flesh, and shall return to the light upon our death in the flesh, unless we've lived in darkness all our time in the flesh, which many have.  Those who are wise in the world have not the light, but those who are wise in God, and are foolish in the eyes of the world, have the light which they will return to upon their death.

The world is full of False prophets, yet these religious leaders are as the Pharisees and Scribes of Jesus's time.  Our time is no different than any other time in the history of mankind.  The only difference is that man is less spiritual, and less Godly than at any other time in the worlds history.

  2. God's "light" may start the process, but isn't the "sacrifice" of our 'me-centred' (rather than God-centred) lifestyle, time and energy to follow Jesus and do good just as important?

God's "Light"(truth) reveals us as 'fallen' and in need of a Saviour, the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, allows us to be reconciled with God and then we can become a 'light to the world', both are necessary from my point of view.
