Is it the gas mileage? Do they last longer than other cars? What about the mechanical work? Do they break down as much as american cars?

  1. reliability.

    They break down less than some American cars.

    They break down the same as some American cars.

    They don't break down more than any car.

    your results may vary.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    btw, American cars are driven all over the world, too.
  2. My first car was a honda civic coupe, I bought it used and the only thing I had to replace besides the tires were the cv boots. My second car was a honda civic sedan, I didnt do anything besides normal oil/filter changes. My last car was a honda pilot and I replaced the tires after 3 years and that was it (besides oil/filter of course). THey also have a good resale.
  3. They're great cars.
    They get good MPG, they're reliable, easy and cheap to maintain, and safe.
    not to mention that they have excellent resale value
  4. Dear Friends of Yahoo Answer:
    Civic is consider one of the most economy cars for two reasons.  One Gas-Saving, EPA combined estimated 29 mpg and 42 mpg for hybrid version.  Second one is for its low maintainance, do not expect any major breakdown for first 150,000 miles, because you ought to be horribly out-of-your-luck to get a civic that break down during your first 150,000 miles.  Average maintaneous should be 25 for oil change and 100 - 200 for most of the other service plans.
    I have seem several friends of mine with old civic that has 300,000 miles, and the car still runs!!!
    Have fun with civic and you will love how much it saved you!
  5. See now everybody buy Civics and Accords as their first car because they are the most reliable, cheapest, save most at teh pump without getting the hybrid.
  6. Gas mileage + reliability = winner!
  7. The quality and finish is way beyond any america car.  Think about it.  Japanese and European cars are driven all over the world but american cars are only popular here.  There's a reason for it.
