Why do so many people answer a question with a question?

Tabby when it is clear that people do not have the right to take advantage of other people when they are at there weakest exspecially from a scammer

yeah I know, poeple do that because theyd ont have the sufficient knowledege to admit that they cant do things that they think they can do!

well, maybe its because they want to show off what theyre not!

Usually it's because the question didn't give enough information to be clear enough to answer.

Example:  How do I fix my computer?  This can only be answered with a book on computers, or by asking the asker to be more specific.  Usually, the better the question, the more likely it is to get a useful answer.

In your case, your postings are not really questions, so it's natural for people to ask what your question is.  If you want to report someone for abuse, you should contact Yahoo, not start a war on Yahoo.

The best thing would probably to only post your IM address in private websites.  Some people just get kicks out of bothering people they don't know.   When they see an IM or email address, it sets them off.

I agree... in most cases... but sometimes they are needed e.g

am i allowed to watch an 18 rated movie by law?...
