Question:

Why do so many people consider Obama a 'threat' to America

Is it because of his race (shame on you if it is)

his middle name (that is just stupid if it is)

Because media has suggested he is a secret Muslim (that is just plain awful, suggesting that an entire religious faith is made up of no one but terrorists)

Because he is a liberal (we have had a Conservative in the white house for 8 years how has this country benefited from that?)

Because it has been suggested he is a racist? (hahahahahaha you think the good ol' boy from Texas isn't?

OR You think he is more of a threat to white people.

I don't get it.

I mean Bush played on our fears for the past 7 years. At the last election that was the big thing "we haven't been attacked since I've been in power, just wait you will all bes destroyed if you vote me out" was basically his campaign slogan.

This country has slid into a downward spiral. Gas prices, natural dissters, food prices, we have outsourced much of our productivity, mortgage crisis...etc...

Bush has handled all of it with the grace of a blind retarded monkey.

Why is Obama considered a threat?

I am not a sure fire Obama supporter, I am watching what he supports and against closely.

  1. People Dnt Like Change Or Better

               Obama=Better         Than              Bush= *** Hole

  2. because he is supposedly part muslim on his dad's side.

  3. because he is the muslin that will get in and change america. he seems nice but i am sure he is working for his relative Osama. we don't want him in office he will totally distroy USA.

  4. it is because of the color of his skin.

  5. because racist conservatives want people to think he's muslim so they wont vote for him

  6. you know, just go listen to rush or hannity and it will explain it all.

they just dont like him. they just dont like any democrat. they consider every democrat a threat.

its funny, rush bashed obama for "downtalking" america in berlin (which he didnt). and then a few days later he called us all rotten and despicable. hypocrisy is awesome.

you know, ill be the first to admit that obama isnt exactly the new, clean politics he tried to portray himself as. but he is certainly making an attempt, which is more than i can say for mccain.

so in short, they consider anything foreign to them a complete threat. when really mccain is the threat, we dont need bush to be president for 4 more years. and im sorry, but being a war hero doesnt qualify you to lead.

  7. Because he's an "empty suit!"

  8. I am not a sure-fire Obama supporter, either, for the record.

I actually saw someone post on here, in all seriousness, that if Obama were elected he would raise income taxes, but only for white people.  I think it's sad that this person a) thinks the president can just make laws unilaterally, and b) isn't apparently aware that the supreme court would strike down a law so discriminatory as that.

I wonder if those who call him a Socialist know the definition of the term.  The US Socialist party doesn't seem to like him - their candidate is Brian Moore.  I would think that if he *were* a Socialist, they would just endorse him.

@Theresa T:  How can someone be "part Muslim"?  I mean, I know, his dad was Muslim and his mom wasn't.  That's a great way to be "part German" or something.  But for a religion, you are what you believe, not what your parents or anybody else believes.  So unless he's like sitting on the fence unsure if he believes in Muslim theology or not, I don't see how that term would apply.

  9. Obama is an inexperienced, anti-American, socialistic racist who will ruin this country with his Marxist/socialist ideals - that's why he's a threat to this country!  The freedoms as we know them now will slowly fade away.

He also remains good friends with Wright, who is NO reverend at all - just a mere loudmouth racist who promotes nothing but racism, hatred and anti-American trash!  Obama also associates himself with Farakhan, Jackson, Sharpton and The Black Panthers as well as a known terrorist, whom he calls 'friend'.   That's a dangerous and scary person right there (Obama)!

  10. They consider him a threat because they are afraid of him!

It's that simple, fear of Obama.

  11. Because they are ignorant, frightened cretins who are averse to any type of progressive change. Most people aren't like that though, and its entirely the media's fault, for portraying him like that, that's how the idea of him being a threat began.

  12. You wrote the answer yourself: Bush played on our fears for the past 7 years.

Americans have been subliminally conditioned to go to fear when they don't recognize a situation.

We have turned into a nation of shivering sheep. Sad really. The US used to be an exemplar of courage.

  13. Strange question.  Where do you see, read, or hear that "many people consider Obama a threat to America"?   I haven't seen, read, or heard it.  Probably if you could find the source of this silly canard you'd know why, or if, many people do.  It sounds like the hysterical muttering of last-ditch Busheviks.  Despite the fact that there has never been so justly and universally reviled a president as the current Idiot in Chief, he has a few die-hard supporters who, having nothing good to say on their own account, are always engaging in this sort of calumny and character assassination.

  14. He's no more of a threat than any other corrupt mainstream politician.  I just think it's about time to stop electing corrupt mainstream politicians and vote for real change.  I'm voting Libertarian this election.  Bob Barr in '08

  15. Simple answer Faux news and ignorance is what scaring people.
