Why do so many people dye their hair blonde?

I hardly ever see a natural blonde around these days.....all bottle blondes Lol

The common misperception is that blondes ae "hot". Sorry, not necessarily true. Blondes are attractive but give me a redhead any day.

I'm a natural blonde. ;)

And I dye mine in all sorts of crazy colors, just because I'm tired of  looking exactly the same as all the other (bottle) blondes! Also, because it rules, and because I like being able to stand out. (Currently, it's a red-ish shade of purple.)

Why they do it, you ask..? For conformity, I guess. Because they, unlike me, actually WANT to look like everybody else.. *Shiver*.

because its rarer than brown hair, and things that are rare are considered beautiful, like diamonds.

but i love brown hair just as much as blonde.

and people in australia have been dying there hair brown now anyway.

I guess cause blond isn't a very common hair color. (Naturally). And i guess it just stands out to a lotta people.

But I'm not sure about black....lol i have [natural] black hair though... ;)

I don't know why... I've got (naturally) blonde hair and it gets on my nerves. If it's greasy it's really visible and if you've got something in your hair it's super visible so until you get time to wash it everyone goes, ewwwwwwww whats that in your hair!? It's very anoying.

does it really matter -- and besides, this is NOT a new development... blondes have always been a huge part of pop culture, from Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow, to Sarah Michelle Gellar and Gwenneth Paltrow -- there's a myriad of blonde women (natural and not), its just what they like.

Theres a trend to have black or very blonde hair. Some people have these two colors in sections. Overrated, so last year. lol

When I have long brunette hair with purple tips people started copying me and I see purple heads now since I cut my hair short.

People are followers, then again there isn't larger variety of colors to choose from
