Why do so many people get into art and so few ever get reconized?

THe point i'm trying to make, is college kid who studies art goes no where college kid likeme studying computer stuff goes pretty far.why do a degree that goes nowhere?

  1. Art and poetry are both passions and seldom recognized until long after the creator has passed. But we do it because it's like breathing, you must do it to survive.

    But if you are worried about the future go for a degree in computer sciences with a minor in art. Or study art and go to work for a museum or auction house or something.


  2. No one really knows when their art will be recognized by the judges of the visual art world.  It is a process of self  expression for the visual Artist to voice their political views to  the world.  It is hard work but the rewards are great when the Art has recognition.

  3. People do it because they are passionate about.  I guess artists are the eternal optimists.  They figure despite all the competition they will do well.  Either  that is optimism or conceit.  You be the judge.
