Why do so many people hate Novak Djokovic?

I understand he is the biggest threat to break the top duo and he has done a lot of imitations and that's the reason to be hated according to some "smart guys", but I think he is quite refreshing to tennis world. He is someone who brings something else on the court, not just to go out there and be a false phlegmatic and gentleman like Federer (and than scream at elder people to KEEP QUIET) or scratch his butt like Nadal and than gives hand to his opponent - awful. I mean, those two are good players, I cannot deny that, but they've become rather boring! Nole is the coolest player on the ATP tour at the moment! Allez Nole!!!

because dude... djokovic is a joke, he is the complete opposite of roger federer. federer is patient, you don't see him making faces or reacting... for example if he does an unbelievable shot, he just fixes his racket strings and continue the game. novak is completely different, every shot he make, he pounds his chest, or make an unreturnable shot, he raises his arm as if he is the world no. 1. He can't be the world no. 1 with his attitude... look at nadal, he is the king of clay. the only thing nadal is good at is his beloved clay. federer, he's not only good, he's the best. he rules the hard and grass courts, and what about djokovic? he's good at pounding his chest... or maybe even his girlfriend's chest... lol

Djokovic, not surprisingly, had quit after he lost the first two sets to Rafa Nadal 4-6, 4-6 at the 2006 French Open. Yet, this arrogant and delusional Serb claimed that he had control of the match (even though Nadal beat him on every math statistic, see link) and that Nadal was beatable on clay (i.e., by the great Djokovic). Djokovic needs to create this fictional world to convince himself, the press and other suckers that he will soon overtake Nadal and Federer ( once his bubble bursts, the drama queen of tennis will fizzle).

I enjoy watching Novak play and I think he's a great player. I think some people will find the imitations annoying, like you said. Or maybe they also don't like the fact that sometimes he take's like forever just to serve.

I am not sure why people dont like him. Although, i know that many people dont like him because of his parents. I can totally understand that!!! He is a really nice guy though. He even stopped impersonating people ex. at the rome finals they wanted him to do it and he didnt. Novak is great!!

I see you are from Serbia, that explains why you like Novak, I am from Serbia too, but truth to be told I really dislike him. Not becuse he is the biggest threat to Federer and Nadal ( which I don't think he is, not at this moment anyway, maybe he will be once, but not now) but beacuse of his attitude, " I am the best tenis player in the world at the moment", he is writting a book "My 1st grand slem" after just one gs won? What should Pit Sampras do or Federer? If they followed Djokovic example they should have wrote tons of books so far. And also he is the worst sportman on the tour in my opinion. Yeah you should beilve in yourself if you want to be the best, but he is going over the top, this is more like being full of yourself with no reason what so ever, he isnt no1 still or even no2 and I dont think he will be any time soon but he talks like he is Sampras himself. I could go on like this forever..Yes he is good player but i really dislike him. And yeah I think his family is really annoying I actually liked when Federer told them to be quite.

Djokovic is a mimic and a bad sportsman.

His game is very predictable.

If I want to see low camp theatre I go to a club.

Not a tennis court.

Djokovic impersonations brought a smile to all our faces - once - but he has many many mannerisms that could be imitated, not to mention the parody that could be made of his family.

If you take exception to Federer asking Djokovic's relatives 'shut it' when they are shouting and hollering to put him off his 'shot' I have to presume you subscribe to brass bands in Libraries, and rock concerts n Exam rooms.

If you believe Djokovic is the 'coolest' player on the ATP tour you obviously like Spoof Movies and Comics that's fine.

I like to watch sublime tennis played by masters not pretenders.

Anyway I personally would respect Novak a lot more if he respected the top two players in the world. He has this attitude of ``im the best tennis player ever`` its really really annoying. We all no he is a great player, im not a novak fan but i`ll admit when i see a talented player and he is one, no question about that. Its just he comes off sooo cocky, he never gives anyone credit bar himself. I mean why is that ? He`s not the only good player on tour! Its confusing to why he acts like this, yes all players have there bad traits but cant he show some respect ? (Maybe he should listen Arethea Franklins song, respect) lol ok lame joke from me sorry. Rafa and Roger have been at the top of the game for years and played at a very high consistant level constantly dominating mens tennis so i guess i can understand why ppl dont like Novak y`know this newbie breaking up the rivalry between roger n rafa. Now its him included, he`s proven he can beat Roger and Rafa so i think its stupid why people dislike him for that, cause lets face it makes mens tennis exciting instead of Nadal and Federer easing there way to most finals Novaks there to give them a good challenge. But he must not forget his place he is #3 right now and an amazing player only going to get better but just remember Nadal and Federer are still the top players. There achievements compared with his at the moment are much greater. Not trying to sound cheeky or disrespect Novak or his fans, its just i feel Rafa deserves that #2 ranking, well i think he deserves to be #1 theres not been any other player at #2 for sooo long, i mean look at his points lol there remarkable yet he`s still stuck in that #2 postion. Any other era of tennis and he would be the #1 if roger wasnt there lol

I like the fact that Djokovic attitude.  He has the heart that he said what he wanted to say and did what he did.  He was not scared at Federer's game even though he dominated the tour for many years, that's why he added a lot of fires to Federer head.  This is good because sometime you just cannot beat the guy you always respect him, always scare at him, you have to make him mad, disrupt him, play with his head a little, get into his head.

Everyone else is on tour acted like a whole bund of chicken, alway say nice thing about him, and don't dare to put up some fire while Federer collected all their money for the last 4, 5 seasons.

Beside Nadal, he's being nice to Federer but also beat him at the same time....this is good too :)

I don't hate him I just find him very annoying and irritating. His impersonations while at first were funny now just come off as rude and petty.
