Why do so many people not like Miley Cyrus?

I think she is cute little girl with a great voice. But I hear people say that her career is all a big lie and there is a lot of scandal surrounding her and her father. Ok it is true that her mom was just a groupie that felt lucky when she got pregnant with Miley. Also her real name is not Miley is Destiny Hope Cyrus, But she had it legally changed to Miley. What? And what is up with her as being phony?

I think that people need to take into consideration that she is a child and she is only doing what she is instructed to do by her mom and dad.

It's called overexposure. I am tired of seeing Miley Cyrus every time I turn on my TV or my computer. I could care less whether she lives or dies. That is how sick of Miley Cyrus I am.

People don't care that she's a child, they don't care if they hurt her, they are just pissed that she's doing so well. And she's cute and talented. There is apparently a huge number of people that can't stand it when someone else has something that they don't or MIGHT have something that they don't, etc., etc. Humans seem to be operating on jealousy and berating others instead of focusing on their own lives and talents. Just look at all the nasty comments on Answers to legitimate questions for absolutely no reason except that people seem get off on being nasty.

I think she's all right; in that video she was only goofing off. Something we all did at that age.  I believe in a way Miley is independent and her parents recognize that.  Mom and dad don't instruct her how to think.  I'm from the States; Wisconsin, actually; over there we worship celebrities so much that they are beyond human. Let one be human as Miley was and they're lying scoundrels.

In the beginning I liked her.  She was cute, positive, and a good role model.  But then puberty hit with a vengeance.  She got caught texting pictures of herself in her undies to a boy.  Okay, privacy issues aside, that was a human mistake.  Things happen.  And then there was the magazine layout for ?Vanity Fair? (I think)  Where she was not dressed, and was draped in fabric.  SHE IS A LITTLE GIRL!!! 15 years old!!!  Men have gone to prison, lost families and jobs, for looking at things like this on the internet!  JUST because it was "tastefully done" in full view of her parents does not make it RIGHT!!! She is a little girl who is being (in my opinion) prostituted by her parents in the media!  She is being forced to grow up too fast.  There is also the whole Disney Kid Drama as well.  She has made snippy comments about other Disney Girls, and been caught at it... But then comes up with trite little apologies about how something was taken out of context... NOT COOL. Not a good role model for my girls!   As for her voice?  You can't really hear it.  Everything is run through computers and she has been "lost".  When we hear her final efforts on the radio or CD, we are hearing another girl whose voice has been altered to sell the music...

I haven't thought about her one way or another because we are from such different generations. I haven't heard her sing or seen her act (I'm not sure which she does). But what little I do know, she seems like a genuinely nice young lady. I wish her well, of course. ♥ ∞

I honestly didn't even knew who she was or what she did. I only heard about her on the news's.. Mostly a music artist for younger kids...

          Even though she user's an assumed name, and does some acting as well she is still a gifted and talented individual.

I personally don't have negative feelings about her but i do roll my eyes if she pops up on the screen because she is marginally talented and is being "pimped" out by her dad it appears.

She's NOT a good singer or songwriter and has nothing of value to give- I saw an interview with her explaining the "pain" behind one of her songs- Surprise Surprise the pain was about a goldfish dying LOL.

She is not Substantial but i do wish her the best and hopefully more truer talent will emerge and push her off my screen.

I am not a crazy fan of Miley Cyrus, actually I wouldn't really call myself a fan at all.  But that is not to say that I hate her, and I do like her song "See You Again".  I do feel really bad for the girl though.  It seems so many people seem to hate her.  I personally don't think she has done anything wrong, she is just a young girl that has been thrown into public view for the world to see her mistakes.  I think people need to give her a break and take into consideration her age and her feelings.  I honestly think some of her haters are just jealous teens, jealous of all that stuff she had going on with the Jonas Brothers, that is is quite a good looking girl and she is a celebrity.

And some dont like seeing people getting famous for manufactured pop stuff who pretty much sing whatever the writers put out in front of them without them struggling to make ends meat first (like most bands or actors/actress do until they get their big break)

Well I am a little busy being a mom and working in the real world to even notice her. so I really don't know that much about her. only that she is popular.

Who knows why a few people don't like her. i don't think it keeps her up at night. she seems like she has enough people who love her. God Bless
